"Madison"

Sakura was deep in a dream. Madison stood infront of her, crying. Her long dark hair blowing gently and her eyes were not warm and kind but cold and sad. They were standing in darkness. Everywhere was black. Sakura was trying to talk to her but she kept crying. In her hands was a picture. She was holding it to her heart. She looked at it and then started to fade into the blackness.

"Madison. Madison wait!" Sakura tried to run after her friend but she was to late. She stopped and wondered. Why was Madison so sad? What was that picture she was holding? There were so many questions.

"Sakura. Hey Sakura wake up!"

As she opened her eyes, Kero was the first thing she saw. She screamed which made him jump. He started asking her if she was ok. Sakura couldn't get the image of Madison crying out of her head. She rubbed her emerald green eyes and looked at her clock. It was 9am. Sakura sat up and noticed something on her desk. It was a box wrapped in yellow paper with a pink ribbon. "Oh yeah, it's Madison's birthday" She got out of bed and forgot all about her dream. She got changed into a pair of shorts and a t-shirt with her hair in two ponytails. She grabbed the gift and ran downstairs. Her dad, Aidan, was waiting in the kitchen for her.
"Good morning Sakura" Sakura looked around for Tory.

"Dad, where's Tory?"She sat down and could smell a sweet aroma coming from the kitchen.

"He's already left for work. Are you going over to Madison's house later?"

"Yeah. I'm leaving right after breakfast. I got her a really nice present"
Sakura held up the present which was quite big. It had taken her forever to save up for it.

"Well, eat up your breakfast first"
Sakura was handed some bacon and eggs and started to eat quietly.

"Dad, I'm away now" Sakura ran to the door and put her rollerblades on. Kero following behind trying to stay out of Aidan's sight.

"Ok, be careful" Kero sneaked into her little bag as Sakura skated out onto the road.

Authors Note: This is my very first chapter so I hope you like it. I think it turned out very well. I'll try and get the 2nd chapter up soon. All of these characters are owned by Clamp but the story is my own work.

Sakura skated down the road concentrating hard on her dream. She couldn't figure out what it meant. The only thing could figure out was that Madison was a part of it. She couldn't figure out if it was a Clow Card or just a strange dream. Sakura was concentrating so hard that she didn't notice a rock straight ahead of her.

"Look out Sakura!!!!" Kero flew out of the small bag and tried to stop her. He was to late though. Sakura lay on the ground, finally awoken from her deep thoughts. She suddenly got into a panic.

"Oh no. Madison's gift." She pulled the delicate yellow box out of her bag and made sure that there were no dents. It was fine. She gave a sigh of relief. She just hoped that the contents were ok. She stood up putting the box into her bag. She started to skate off. Kero flew as fast as he could. He managed to catch up with her and hid in her bag.

She stopped right outside of a very beautiful house. Its white walls shone in the sunlight. Sakura went to the gate and pressed the button on the intercom.

"Hello. Taylor Residence. Madison speaking."

"Hey Madison. It's me" On hearing her friend, Madison opened the gates. Sakura started skating up the path and could see Madison waiting for her at the door. She waved and could see her friend waving back. Madison was really glad to see her. As soon as she saw Kero's head popping out of the bag she gave a sigh.

"Sakura!! Great to see you" Sakura pulled the gift out of her bag.

"Happy birthday Madison" As soon as she saw the gift, Madison got all starry eyed. She invited them in. They went up to her bedroom.

Sakura could see that Madison was working on a new outfit. It was a blue dress with a flowing skirt. It didn't have any sleeves and had a pink ribbon around the waist. On the back the ribbon sashes flowed with stars at the end of each one. It had matching pink boots and gloves. Madison put the gift on her table and started to open it. Her face lit up when she saw what it was. A brand new camera and sketchpad with pencils and paints. She was just so glad that she gave Sakura a huge hug.

"Thank you so much" When Madison let go she saw Kero. She remembered about a cake she had made.

"I'll be up in minute. I have to go get something" She ran out of the room leaving Sakura looking dreamily at her new costume and Kero looking at the camera.

When she got down into the kitchen, she opened the refridgerator and pulled out a beautiful cheesecake made especially for Kero. When she got into the sitting room she had realized that she had forgotten the cutter. She put the cake onto the coffee table and started to enter the kitchen. As she did so she felt a strange wind in the room. She looked towards the chairs and saw something glowing. She started to go towards the light and saw that it was a little pixie like creature. She smiled and said hello. All of a sudden a strange force pulled Madison towards the pixie. She couldn't control herself and a large creature appeared infront of her.

She screamed and when she looked at it she lost all her energy and collapsed. Sakura had heard the scream and went downstairs to see if she was alright.

Author's Note: Well, how was it. I hope you liked it. In this chapter you can really see how close Madison is to Sakura. I'll get the 3rd chapter up soon. I don't own any of these characters or locations but the story line was created by me.
